Disclaimer: Please do not bite my head off for these. I am trying to help you. I was pretty specific today but tomorrow it will be worse (and you can't call line then!) Ask if you don't understand the note!!!

ACT ONE

If you called line I put cue followed by the line. If it says not don't say whatever is after. If there is no direction, you need to say this.

10: Michael: Jack gone for 18 years, not months
Cue: "and even though I was only (don't say perhaps except when written throghout this)

11: Chris: left out "wouldn't it"

13: Maggie: "Now you're talking" NOT "indeed"

14: Rose: Danny brings you not takes you (you go willingly)
cue: "Isn't it lovely" NOT "wear all the time"

17: Michael: “I suppose”
“All the same…”
messed up: NOT “picture of photo”

18: Kate: Mix up sentence order in 2nd paragraph (yours) on page

Maggie: NOT “it’s on the turf box” when Kate asks about the newspaper. No one responds to this

36: Maggie: “I’m sure he could do with a good meal”

37: Gerry: “lucky man”

38: Chris/ Gerry: messed up “And people came” and “don’t look so…” look over this section
Gerry: MUST SAY “show him the brochures” it makes no sense if you forget this and the joke will not be funny.
Gerry: cue: “tell you this Chrissie”

39: Gerry: Cue: “unbelievable…”

Gerry: cue: “wouldn’t”

Michael: you are doing excellent with dialogue. No mistakes here. The only trouble spots are in the monologues.

Excellent job to those of you who could get through it without calling line.

Don’t get just the idea, get the correct words too.
Keep working. It is better!

58: Jack: “okawa summons our people”

59: Jack look at monologue: right ideas, wrong words and details left out. Dances are not sung, songs are :)
ie: thanksgiving ends, not the incantation. Just get the details

60: Jack/ Kate: left out whole Gilbert and Sullivan part up to “it’s all coming back…”

61: Gerry: cue: “I’m telling you.”

62: Gerry: UNANIMITY. Margie has given you this note and so have I. Know this word (you added an extra it syllable)
NOT “couple of weeks”
Cue: “it’s about somewhere to go”
Cue: “anyhow he held out…”

63: Gerry: skipped “promise you…master at disguising himself”
Chris: “you should see Jack”
Maggie: new battery yesterday NOT last week

65: Agnes: lost line and got mixed up w/ responses to Gerry

66: Agnes: “she wasn’t feeling well”

67: Kate: “What direction”

68: Kate: know when you say “Bradley business” and when you say “Bradley creature”

70: Rose: cue “all right”
Kate: “had you arranged” made last two lines on 70 and first two on 71 into two instead of four

71: Michael: I apologize. You called line and I gave the wrong cue so we skipped a few sentences. So just look over that in case

72: Michael: cue: “then Agnes died”
cue: “but we never lost…”
cue: “within a year of his homecoming…La Lughnasa.”

73: Michael: “he introduced himself as”

75: Jack look over this. Once again, right idea, wrong words.

76: Gerry: cue: “thought it might be…”

77: Gerry: mixed up “great” and “supurb” lines

78: Gerry: “that’s a promise”

79: Gerry: cue: “are you alright”
Maggie: cue: “take out benches”

81: Jack: “there you are”

81-82: Agnes/Maggie/Chris/Gerry: tea and marconi stuff got all mixed up

84: Michael: cue: “and what is so strange:

cue: “dancing as if language…”
cue: “words were longer necessary” (they still existed! :))

Sum Up:

Some of these lines are repeats that are usually missed. Some are 50/50. and some we usually know but just missed this time

It will help you so much if you get the exact wording down because you won’t have to think about it as much and it will always make sense. Sometimes one word can make a big difference. Know what the author wrote! This will also help to keep it moving.

A gentle reminder: the off book date was officially Monday, January 28th. That was 10 days ago.

Thank you to those of you who put in the extra time to work on these lines. If you don’t know them you hurt not only yourself but everyone else in the scene.

Transitions between inside and outside were amazingly better!!! Thank you!
